DAM BUSTERS' TWILIGHT TAXI-RUN

The Vulcan Restoration Trust invites you to join them for a special twilight taxi-run to commemorate the 80th anniversary of 617 Squadron and its famous 'Dam Busters' raid, which took place on 16-17 May 1943. The evening will begin with a screening of the 1955 feature film The Dam Busters, which stars Richard Todd as Guy Gibson and Michael Redgrave as Barnes Wallis.
The Vulcan XL426, which comes from the same 'stable' as the Lancasters, having served with 617 Squadron from the 1960s to the 1980s, will taxi at twilight. There will be two taxi-runs, the second a high-speed pass. Visitors will get an unrivalled view from the Trust's exclusive area in front of its hanger. So don't forget your camera!
