Fred and Ginger return in this sparkling musical comedy, which followed on from Shall We Dance. In a plot typical of the screwball comedies of the period, Fred plays Dr. Tony Flagg, who is keen to help his friend Steven with his relationship difficulties with his fiancée Amanda. But this is not as straightforward as it first appears, and when, in desperation, the good doctor decides to use hypnosis to strengthen Amanda’s feelings for Steven, things get really complicated.

Nominated for three Oscars, including Best Song for Irving Berlin’s ‘Change Partners’, this is the team at their effervescent best.

When heavy fog prevents all aircraft from leaving London airport, a group of passengers take an airline bus to get them to an alternative airport. However, one amongst their number is the mastermind behind a bullion robbery at the airport... who is particularly keen to escape…

This hugely entertaining comedy thriller has Frankie Howerd as the hapless bus driver, while Festival favourite Margaret Rutherford is among the passengers and lovely Petula Clark is the stewardess. This was Frankie Howerd’s film debut. While topping the bill at the London Palladium, he had been persuaded by director Val Guest to appear in this film. At first reluctant, he eventually agreed – but, fortunately for us, only if Miss Rutherford, his favourite comedy actress, would also be in it. Great fun!
